On Food And Film Los Angeles is the brainchild of Tom Provost, a filmmaker/cook/eater/film nerd living in Los Angeles, CA. Tom created the website On Food And Film 3 years ago where he will continue to post broader articles and recipes. A Los Angeles fanatic, Tom wanted to create a sister-site to OFAF that was centered entirely on Los Angeles and it’s surroundings.

Tom’s first memory as a child is sitting in a movie theatre. He knew immediately he wanted to work in the movies and often dreamed of being on the big screen. When it came time for college, however, studying acting seemed pretty risky, so he did the responsible thing and majored in English Literature and Film Production/Criticism. His brother is a doctor so Mr. and Mrs. Provost did sire one professional.

Since his arrival in Los Angeles, Tom has worked as an actor, an award-winning/Emmy-nominated editor, screenwriter and director, yoga instructor, graduate screenwriting professor (Pepperdine University), horseback instructor and private chef. Focus clearly is not a problem.

He cooks and eats every single day. A lot.
